Ingrid Barrier is an associate with Hill & Robbins. She focuses on both complex commercial litigation and natural resources law. Ms. Barrier received an A.B. from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine in Art History in 1993 and her law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 2000. She was a member of the Order of St. Ives and the University of Denver Law Review editorial staff. Her classmates elected her commencement speaker.
Ms. Barrier clerked for Colorado Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Love Kourlis after graduating law school. She then spent five years as a Deputy District Attorney in Denver before joining Hill & Robbins in 2005. During her tenure at the firm, Ms. Barrier has served as assistant counsel preparing a consumer class action lawsuit for insured motorists against every major auto insurance company in the state. As a natural resources attorney, Ms. Barrier has distinguished herself, representing special districts in water rights adjudications. She has also represented the Rio Grande Water Conservation District.
Like many of her colleagues at Hill & Robbins, Ms. Barrier is an active member of her community. She serves on the Development Committee of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and participates as a pro bono advocate on behalf of Planned Parenthood.
